Create > Surreal Landscape Perspective

Goal:

Create a fantasy landscape using atmospheric and linear perspective to clearly show depth.

Studio Activity:

1. Take a landscape photograph and print it out.
2. Follow the Rule of Thirds for layout and composition and then crop the image.
3. Make sure it shows depth (foreground - middleground - background).
4. Make sure there is a focal point.
5. For Surreal effects, manipulate (scale - juxtaposition - humor).
6. You may create a collage from which to draw, like the Interior in Perspective assignment.
7. Create a drawing or painting that manipulates your photo with surrealistic elements.
8. Clearly show depth using atmospheric and linear perspective (think long shadows)
9. Fully render forms in full value ranges.
